CLEVELAND -- When the Celtics and Cavaliers met in the Eastern Conference semifinals in 2008, Boston leaned on the luxury that home-court advantage affords by taking care of business at the TD Garden and prevailing in seven games. Standing outside the visitor's locker room at Quicken Loans Arena before Saturday's Game 1 of the 2010 rematch, Celtics coach Doc Rivers didn't need a reminder that his team was opening its first series on the road since the Big Three was formed. "Yeah, it sucks," he joked when a reporter brought up the fact. "Usually you do have to win a game on the road, eventually. So, for us, it's a fact. The last time we believed that would happen. It never did. This time I'm positive of it. We're going to have to win a road game."
The Cavs didn't win that game as much as we lost it. There were so many things that went the Cavs way that can only happen so many more times. Are Delonte West and Hickson gonna step up every game? No. Is Paul Pierce gonna go ice cold from everywhere on the court? Fuck no. This is like a heavy weight bout and last night's game was the feeling out period. Boston knows what they have to do now to win the series and that's beat the shit out of Lebron's elbow. I've never tried to a win a sportsmanship award so I don't see why you wouldn't grab his elbow every time he drove into the lane. Let that lane collapse and just bash that thing until its numb. It's a cut throat league, baby. Overall things look good. Rondo is shakin, KG is mobile, RayRay is RayRay and The Truth is angry. That's a recipe for 4 wins.
P.S. Where are all the Nate Robinson fans? When he was in NY everyone thought he was the balls. Kid can't even get off the bench in Boston. Hilarious.
