Drogba showed where his priorities really lay by attempting to grab the ball from first-choice penalty taker Frank Lampard with Chelsea leading Wigan 1-0 in the first half of a game the Blues needed to win to secure the title. When Lampard quite rightly refused to hand over spot-kick duties, Drogba reacted furiously, pouting like a petulant child before a bewildered audience both at Stamford Bridge and on worldwide television screens. The reason for Drogba’s ire was concern that he would be denied the chance to win the EPL scoring crown.
I used to like Drogba. Now, not so much. You're a professional, you gotta act professional (just made that up and im proud of it). Drogba made himself look like a queer for crying and complaining about that penalty kick. I'm all about playing for the team, so when i saw that he was upset because his individual stats would be affected, i buried my head in my hands and thought of better times. Yeah, he does score a lot of goals, but that's not the type of dude you want on your team. Imagine if he didnt get that hat trick in the second half. We would never hear the end of it. At the end of the day, it's just another professional athlete on their period.
