This week's episode of Real World was called "Laughing Panda, Changing Ty". Last week's episode left us with a "to be continued..." after Ty pushed Andrew over the porch. The episode started right with that scene and Andrew seems to be okay. Callie calls 911 and mentions it was about a 6 foot fall (but it looked way higher than that) and then a scene is shown where Ty did try to hold onto Andrew's feet after he realized he was going over. Andrew manages to have a great line while on the stretcher, "I just have to warn you guys, I am not wearing any underwear". I like how the hospital released Andrew because he "appeared that he's NOT THAT INTOXICATED anymore". You always know you had an awesome night when you wake up still drunk. Andrew thinks he can use the neck brace as a way to pick up chicks.
The roommates set up an intervention of sorts with Ty and he vows to never drink while at the house or get violent again. This seems like he created cracks in his defense where he could get drunk but not violent while the roommates think he won't drink ever again. Ty gets a job with the Washington Capitals (whoop whoop!!) and goes out with everyone after. He doesn't drink but everyone else does which leads Andrew and Josh to tell Ty he should start drinking again in small doses. Andrew's brother Will visits and he shows up in jorts (ughh!). Andrew's best quote of the episode was, "If I had twins I would circumcise one but not that other, that's how I would tell them apart". Ty ends up drinking (shocker) and Emily confronts him about it because she believes he vowed he would leave the house if he drank again.
Ty starts his job with the Capitals and they let him lace up with the team at KCI (shout-out to my readers who know what that means). Needless to say, he is a terrible skater and embarrasses himself on the ice...seriously, who can't shoot a slap shot?? Emily gets drunk and decides she can make up rules for the house as to which people are expelled and goes on a power trip. She now joins Ashely in the "people I hate on Real World" category. Ty and Emily talk out their problems and all seems good going into the next episode. We shall see... The next episode shows Callie and Erika arguing and Andrew hooking up with a girl. I think this episode reaffirmed that television promoters over exaggerate situations to make people watch (I can't say I blame them).
