Big Game of the Night

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (AP)—Cornell has made itself the early tournament darlings of March. The Big Red win with seniors, goof off at news conferences, and have embraced every second of the sudden national spotlight. Kentucky plays richly talented teams in the SEC, is on national television as often as “30 Rock,” and counts the round of 16 as another step toward the national championship and not a reason to celebrate.

I know Connor already touched on this a little but i just have to throw in my own 2 cents and say that this is going to be a complete blowout. Consider Cornell as the ugly girl that thinks she looks good for the prom, and Kentucky is the hot girl. Who's gonna win prom queen? Clearly the hot girl by a landslide. That's just how society works, and that's how Kentucky operates. Theyre not going to let Cornell show up and even make this close. I dont care how confident they are, Kentucky is just too good. I didnt pick them to go all the way for no reason. The first five minutes of this game is going to be very important. All Kentucky has to do is shut them down for those five minutes and Cornell will lose all that confidence and start playing sloppy basketball. Ive seen this before, this team is not usually this good, so if Kentucky reminds them of that, it's all downhill from there for Cornell. IF, and thats a big if, Cornell wins this game, the rest of the tournament is going to be so boring. I dont know about you but i dont want to see two highly ranked teams going against eachother in the championship game. There's been enough surprises in this tournament already, i dont want to see another one tonight. John Wall carries the team tonight and Kentucky beats Cornell 95-72.
