Jonah Hill + Russel Brand + P. Diddy = Average

I saw Get Him to the Greek yesterday and the best I can say about it was that it was average. I'm not sure if it was going with a friend who had already seen it and called it "absolutely hilarious" or my already high expectations for a movie with Jonah Hill and Russell Brand playing the hilarious Aldous Snow character from Forgetting Sarah Marshall...but it was not as great as I expected. It did get a 74% on Rotten Tomatoes so most people loved it and that's why I suggest you go see it.


Russell Brand basically ruins his music career with a racist single about Africa which causes him to do massive amounts of drugs and alcohol. Jonah Hill is sent to London to escort him to New York then Los Angeles to perform at the Greek Theatre. Jonah is in charge of keeping him sober on the way but all Russell Brand wants to do is party - and the man certainly knows how to party. The film had a pretty decent supporting cast with P. Diddy in some very funny scenes, the super sexy Rose Byrne and Elisabeth Moss (Peggy Olson in Mad Men). Drinking makes everything more fun (not that we condone that type of behavior) so I have provided a drinking game for the movie in case you want to get your Robert Downey Jr. on during it.
