Kentucky Players Enter Draft
John Wall and DeMarcus Cousins delivered on their promise to help coach John Calipari return Kentucky to national prominence. Next stop, the NBA. The freshman All-Americans are among five Kentucky players who declared for the NBA draft on Wednesday, an exodus that includes freshman guard Eric Bledsoe, freshman center Daniel Orton and junior forward Patrick Patterson.
I'm not a fan of this "playing one or two years in college and then entering the draft" thing. Those kids are all great players but why would they rush into the NBA. They get put in retard classes for the one year theyre in college because thats the only way they;; be eligible to play, and they do so much for their team, and then become a mediocre NBA player. I mean yeah, there is millions of dollars involved, but you only go to college once, i would pull the Van Wilder and stay as long as possible. You get so much recognition as being a great college basketball player, especially if youre on a good team. I bet those kids are forgotten after a season or two in the NBA. Have fun getting shit on by players like Kobe and Lebron instead of destroying scrawny, white college kids.
