Man Sends Threats Via Xbox Live

A Connecticut man is accused of using an online video game system to threaten a witness against him in a drugs and gun case. Authorities said 23-year-old Anthony Hayward, of Hamden, surrendered to Milford police Tuesday and was charged with intimidating a witness, tampering with a witness and harassment. Police said Hayward threatened the witness on Xbox Live in December, after having posted $75,000 bail for his arrest in New Haven for allegedly having drugs and a stolen gun in his car.Police said Hayward wrote "Rats Die Slow" and called the witness "a dead man walking." Hayward was arraigned Tuesday in Milford Superior Court and ordered held on $50,000 bail. He's due back in court April 30.

You can get arrested for this shit? I might be serving life at this point if I had Xbox Live. I don't know if this is threatening as much as it was the guy just trying to get in the other players head. Think about it. 3 seconds on the clock, down 2 and you got a ball screen set up for an in bound pass to Durant to win the game and then boom a screen pops up that says "Rats die slow." I think I'd call a timeout and talk it over with the squad. You're about to shoot the ball and whammy "dead man walking." I'd probably hold the stick down a little too long, fucking up Durant's release and losing the game. It seems like this should be common practice.
