Johnson Put Gordon In To The Wall
FORT WORTH, Texas (AP)—Before a nine-car pileup sent his mangled Chevrolet to the garage Monday, Jeff Gordon circled Texas Motor Speedway with a comfortable lead and part of a perfectly round tire mark on his trademark No. 24. The imprint was courtesy of a bump from Jimmie Johnson, a friend, teammate and rival who happens to drive a car owned by Gordon. The NASCAR Sprint Cup stars were battling for the lead when they made contact on a pass by Gordon about midway through the race. They didn’t hide their disappointment with each other after the race but said they would talk it through and move on.
NASCARRRRR. WOOOOOO. What a dick move by Jimmie Johnson, taking his own teammate out. On the bright side, though, crashes are the only interesting part of a nascar race. I wish regular driving was like this. Like where the lanes merge on a highway there should just be no mercy. If you're right next to a guy and the lanes are about to merge, you have to fight for position and get out front. And if not you better bet you're going sailing into that guard rail. Anyways, i wonder how this talk between them will go. It will probably take place over a couple bud heavy's and a day of fishing. That's how rednecks solve all disputes, right?
