One of the all time greats retired today, Ken Griffey Junior. Unfortunately for Griffs, he will be remembered as of late for falling asleep in the clubhouse during a game. Regardless of his recent actions, Griffey will be remembered as one of the best hitters of all time and owner of probably the prettiest swing in baseball. When he made solid contact it was like watching a knife slice through butter. He also gifted us with one of the best video games of all time. Ken Griffey Jr.'s Slugfest for N64 is a classic and I'm willing to throw down against anyone who says differently.
Griffey will be remembered for clutch home runs, incredible gifts, and a great smile. I will fight until the day I die that if he stayed healthy his entire career he would be the all time home run leader. He finished his career with 10 gold gloves, 630 home runs, and 1,836 RBI over 22 seasons.
