Big Lou, Sweet Lou, or the fat guy who loves to get ejected, announced today he will retire from the Chicago Worthless' (or Cubs) at the end of the season. The Cubs have been quite poor for the years under Pinella and may be the worst this season. The Cubs are currently 42-52 and 9 1/2 games behind the Cardinals in the NL Central. The only good news the Cubs have this season is that they aren't the Orioles.
Sweet Lou will go down as one of the great managers in this game, at the time he has 1,826 wins and is one of five managers to ever win Manager of the Year three times. Lou won the World Series twice as a player (in 1977 and 1978 both times with the Yankees) and once as a manager (1990 with the Cincinnati Reds).
