In the eighth inning of Sunday night's World Baseball Classic game between the United States and The Netherlands, Engelhardt cranked a home run off of Team USA and Florida Marlins right-hander Matt Lindstrom. He stood for a moment to admire it -- perhaps a moment too long, but not an excessive display by most standards.
For whatever reason, be it simple frustration over the long ball or annoyance that a player would be styling while the Dutch team trailed by six runs, Lindstrom took offense. His next pitch was a fastball behind Rooi. It drew the ire of The Netherlands, which in turn drew the ire of Team USA, and members of both benches momentarily took the field.
Now this is the shit i love to hear about from a piss poor event like this. This dumb fuck hit himself a little home run off a big leager.....when the game was already out of hand however. Now he thinks hes all good so hes gonna give it a little hop, skip, and a jump out of the box? if i was the pitcher i wouldnt care i'd drill him right between the blades. serves him right for not knowing his place. when he hit that ...my boy dwright was up on that top step tellin that fuck to get on around the bases. when he hits home runs, (and they come plenty) he knows what to do. he doesnt big league, he gets around the bases and doesnt show up anybody. A truely Classy man
bottom line this is a classless individual who doesnt know his place in the game of baseball, if there even is a spot for this 38 year old washed up scrub. hes got less of a future in baseball is the ookermister has in pimpin. enjoy the trip home scrubs.
