FORT MYERS, Fla. -- For the first time since he returned to Fort Myers, Fla., after straining his left abdominal muscle while with the WBC, Dustin Pedroia took batting practice. He also took ground balls at second base this afternoon, and reported no ill effects after the team's workout. Pedroia will return to game action tomorrow and take two at-bats against the Pittsburgh Pirates, manager Terry Francona said. He'll get Saturday off, then get three at-bats Sunday against the Philadelphia Phillies. Youkilis said the injury is a continuation of the plantar fasciitis that he's had in the past, notably in 2006, and that the tightness had been there ever since the beginning of spring training. He also said that if he needed to play right now, he could. But there is no reason for him to do so.
Yeah us sox fans are terrified. Was that fucking serious? Your best player is on his steroid enhanced ass with a cut open thigh and we're worried. Yup. Absolutely. Sorry we haven't been able to come up with another story about A-roid to further disgrace the yankee franchise. Give me a couple more days and I'm sure he'll say something ridiculous again. I think the sox are going to finish 4th because Youk is resting his ankle and Pedroia seems just perfect. Exactly. Read my troubled mind there. Our guys pulled out of the WBC for the greater good of the team. Didn't wanna tear a labrum with all that jumping in and out of dishonesty.
P.S. I'm 6/7 on picks so far ladies. That's good enough for 759,027th place on ESPN. Michigan beats Clemson tonight I'm declaring an all out fall out at Jbed's crib. I love John Beilein coached squads.
