Bode Miller Is Ogling Ed Hochuli's Favorite Olympian

It was just one small step that Bode Miller took, up onto the temporary dais where he held up both arms in celebration and spent a long moment gazing with a smile into the cheering crowd at the Vancouver Olympics. But really, it was a giant leap. The one-time washout and controversial "bad boy" cemented his legacy as one of the greatest ski racers ever Sunday, winning the gold medal in the super-combined at Whistler Mountain to finally claim the only thing that had been missing from his prodigious résumé and add to Team USA's staggering medal haul here. "It was unbelievable," Miller said. "I couldn't ask for anything more.... It was absolutely perfect."

Listen, love Bode Miller. Always have, always will. I don't care how many times he makes an ass of himself with his unpredictable comments or how much of a loner people claim he is. He's just a guy who does his own thing and anyone with a backbone can relate to that. It's a great story about how he kind of came from the skiing abyss after prematurely blowing his load in Torino to winning 3 medals in 3 events so far. But wouldn't it be so much better if he did it all and was still partying through the night? That might have solidified him as "Dude of The Year 2010." Which we're still accepting nominations for by the way. So far all we have is Drew Brees, Jordon Brault, the kid who invented Chatroulette, and Andy Roddick.
