That's not even close to true. Nobody cared about Mark Teixeira because he's just a soulless, spineless hired gun who's testicles will shrink in the clutch just like every other hired gun that the Yankees have signed for the past decade. Bottom line is John Smoltz is the reason why we win championships while the yankees can't even make the playoffs. Smoltz is a guy who will bleed for you on the field and I'd rather give this guy the ball in game 7 over any yankee starter. Dude is a winner, always has been and always will be. Keep on drankin Youk and CUE THE DUCK BOATS.
