Our Boy Is Taking His Talents To Houston

Former Arizona Cardinals quarterback Matt Leinart has agreed to one-year contract with the Houston Texans.  He will take a physical, sign the contract and join the team Monday. Agent Tom Condon confirmed the agreement in a phone interview with The Associated Press. After his release Saturday, Leinart found little interest from the rest of the NFL's 31 teams, sources said. Leinart will become the Texans' third quarterback behind starter Matt Schaub and backup Dan Orlovsky, who will remain the No. 2 at least until Leinart has some command of Houston's offensive scheme, sources said.

 

Maybe Leinart doesn't wanna be Tom Brady and there's nothing wrong with that.  Maybe he's fine with being a 3rd string QB as he collects that $51 million contract he was given from Arizona in 2006. That's big boy money.You can do a lot with big boy money. But I don't think the story is finished with Matt Leinart. He's got the good looks, the mass appeal and now all he needs is a little support and patience from a coaching staff who want to work with him. Probably end up signing with the Vikings after this season and put Tavaris Jackson on suicide watch.
