ESPN just released another "This Is SportsCenter" commercial starring US Women's soccer star Abby Wambach. Abby might have just scored the tying goal in the 122nd minute against Brazil on Sunday to send the game into PKs but this might be her best work yet.
I could watch all of the "This Is SportsCenter" commercials over and over again but this one quickly became my favorite. Everyone knows soccer is full of vaginas who flop around like Lebron James in the finals so taking a strategy that sympathizes with the masses is genius. Pure genius.

Jenn Sterger Takes Shots at ESPN's Hot Blondes

So apparently Jenn Sterger works for Bro Bible now. When I told a friend this news his response was "LOL. Amazing." She hosts some segment on the website called the "Hottie Index" where she runs down 5 "hotties" and this week she trashed recently hired ESPN analysts Charissa Thompson and Lindsay Czarniak then moved onto Jenn Brown and made a genius analogy about how ESPN likes hot blondes more than a dog likes to sniff its own ass. Shel Silverstein is turning over in his grave.
I still can't get over how great that dog licking its own ass analogy was. No wonder Brett Favre was attracted to her. Who could resist a woman with such...literary prowess?
On a serious note, what is a lower point in her "career" - The Brett Favre saga or taking a job at Bro Bible to trash people you are clearly jealous of?

ESPN MLB Front Page Photo About Derek Jeter

This is the lead picture on ESPN's MLB page right now. Derek Jeter can't hit the ball out of the infield anymore so this isn't really surprising to me but what caught my eye was this: "while chasing a playoff slot". Is a team really "chasing a playoff slot" on May 6th? That is all.

ESPN Dustin Pedroia Sandwich Commercial
ESPN rarely disappoints me with their commercials and this time they delivered a homerun. Well if we are being literal, then a triple. Boston is awesome, we know this, so the fact that ESPN chose a Deli scene debating what kind of sandwich to call "The Pedroia" is perfect. One of the first memories I have of being in Boston is at a deli where the lady asked one of my family members what he wanted on his sub and he said "slide it through the gaaahhden". Then I walked outside and found myself in the middle of an Irish mob and police shoot out with people praying and guys yelling at each other that they were snitches so I ran off and the safest place closest to me was MIT. I decided to stay there until the heat died down. There was nothing to do at an empty school so I just solved all the math problems that I saw on a board instead of sitting there doing nothing. That quickly got boring so then I went to the Red Sox game and met Drew Barrymore.

Ugg Boots For Men SportsCenter Shout-Out
The first thing you should know is that Blog Dylan's real name is "Jake Ullrich". Even though he doesn't post and I shouldn't give him any recognition with this post, I'm only posting this because this is sort of a shout-out to Ugg Boots For Men. He was busy bitching/crying to Scott Van Pelt and Steve Levy on twitter on Thursday about how he was playing against Ben Zobrist in fantasy after his 10 RBI day. Scott Van Pelt felt bad for him so that's the only reason he did this. Basically, he tweets at SportsCenter anchors enough so they got tired of him and did this to shut him up:

Brooklyn Decker at the ESPYS
Oh. My. God. Hello Brooklyn!
The ESPY's were tonight and because nothing else was on television I decided to watch them. Seth Meyers was hosting and was decent, but my main bitch, Brooklyn Decker, stole the show. Before her entrance she texted me and said "hey baby this dress is for you ;)". I get those texts quite often so I wasn't really intrigued by it. But then she appeared. In that perfect, beautiful pink dress. And then I came.
She literally looks like she wants to pop out of that dress in every single area and I'm not gonna lie, I wanna pop into her in every single area. She looks beyond good and I just pray we see her more and more often. Heres the rest of the pictures of Brooklyn
Erin who? Speaking of Erin, she tweeted "Uhhhh guess who asked to take a pic bc she said everyone says we're sisters..ummm I died.." and included this lovely picture of her and Marissa Miller. If the condition to have a threesome with these three was that I had to cut my dick off after it was over...I would do it.

Is That the Guy From Stepbrothers?
And yes, it is Adam Scott starring in all of the new ESPN Baseball commercials. Most people hate commercials and I understand why: they interrupt your episode of The Hills and all you're worried about is whether Audrina will make it to the party on time. Thankfully for normal people, like me and you, who only watch sports, ESPN has GREAT commercials. From "This is SportsCenter" to the current baseball ones, they constantly keep me entertained during the breaks from Scott Van Pelt's clever lines and Stuart Scott's glass eye. It is now my pleasure to present you Ugg Boot's top 10 sports commercials:
- Nike Football - Leave Nothing
- Tiger Juggling
- Write the Future
- Lebron Drains Full Court Shots
- Where Amazing Happens
- It's All About Focus
- Priceless Pep Talks
- There Can Only Be One
- This is SportsCenter
- Terry Tate, Office Linebacker
Nike football has started to grow in the land of sweet commercials. Whether this was before or after Merriman started fucking Tila Tequila up is unimportant, but what is, is that this is a great commercial
Before Tiger became a badass and started banging anything with a va jay jay, he was actually a pretty good role model for companies. Nike embraced this and dropped a simple, but great commercial. It looks like Nike just sent a guy with a camera, told Tiger to do something sweet, and then started recording.
World Cup 2010 is on the way and Nike is obviously ready for it. Releasing this ad was HUGE and the public loved it. The details and story-lines involved in the commercial makes it an instant classic. I can't watch it enough.
It's fake. It's fake, it's fake, it's fake. Okay now can we get past that? This commercial rocks. Lebron wasn't yet crowned the king when this commercial first came out and it certainly helped pave the way for him. And as good as this guy is, I wouldn't be too surprised if it was real.
NBA TV could not have gotten this ad campaign any better. The slow music, bland colors, and amazing stills of players show some incredible emotion in a short amount of time. If you have a significant amount of time to kill please sit down and watch all these commercials because they really are incredible. One sticks out for me and that's Tim Duncan (TIMMAAAAAY!)
This just in, NBA makes fucking awesome commercials. This year they started to edit a lot of press conferences with certain players, play them over a small, simple beat, and make sweet commercials. They're catchy, have great clips, and are great commercials. Had to post 2 for this one, both are great watches.
At one point, Peyton Manning seemed to be on a commercial every second of the day. The good thing about that point is most of his commercials were hilarious. This gem with MasterCard showed Peyton's funny side and turned into an instant classic. "I'd probably just buy some bigger shirts".
Okay, okay I admit it, I really really like NBA commercials, but how can you not? These commercials are great. Most commercials go for cheap laughs but it seems NBA commercials are dedicated to not make you laugh, but inspire you. And they are quite successful. This ad campaign put the best players side by side and showed their true emotion in the game. With the final being Lakers-Celtics, the Kobe-Garnett ad was clearly the best.
We don't really have time to list all the incredible SportsCenter commercials. I have yet to see a bad one and could have easily made a top 25 list of just SportsCenter. It's almost unfair to have "This is SportsCenter" commercials on this list because they are so good. YouTube surfing through just these commercials can result in hours of entertainment. Here's a couple of my favorites:
Y2K Hits SportsCenter
SportsCenter had to be Y2K safe back in the day and needed to test all the programs. This commercial is so good because of the sheer absurdity of it. Mark McGwire bashing computers, the Connecticut Huskie running through the office, Charlie Steiner taking control, and all of this is happening with Dan Patrick enjoying a nice lunch with Jon Randle.
After a lot of thinking, Terry Tate just edges out This is SportsCenter for the number 1 spot. I remember the first time seeing this ad and literally laughing out loud. The hilarious hits, and then the switch to him singing birthday songs and running a meeting, this ad is certainly the best sports commercial we've ever had.

Who's the hottest sportscaster?

Will Erin Andrews repeat as Playboy's Sexiest Sportscaster? Vote yourself! The photo of Erin is from Jezebel.
Hot Sportscaster of the Week

Come back Jill … come back!!!
Like the career of Anna Kournikova, former Fox, CBS and ESPN sportscaster Jill Arrington’s time on our TVs was much too short. In 2000/2001, she topped Playboy’s sexiest sportscaster poll but then disappointed us all by turning down Hef’s offer to shed her clothes for the mag. But after the 2004 football season Andrews left ESPN and hasn’t really been heard from again. We are all sad.
Looks: Erin Andrews might be the new love of couch potatoes, but Jill is still the standard all should be measured by. She is just stunning, tall, curvy … yet she has that quality of being someone you think you might have a chance with. Yeah, right … The pic that you are drooling over is from FHM.
Success: Yeah, she is a looker, but she also knows her sports. Arrington’s dad, Rick, played for the Philadelphia Eagles. Jill played varsity tennis at the University of Miami. Her sideline reports were good or better than anyone else’s.
Personality: She always seemed like a fun girl. A hot girl who loves sports ….
Come back Jill, come back!
