Brian Wilson Throws a Tantrum, Aubrey Huff Cries

The San Fracisco Giants were up 4-1 heading into the bottom of the 9th tonight at Detroit. Brian Wilson came on for the save and then this happened:

- V. Martinez singled to center
- J. Peralta singled to shallow right, V. Martinez to second
- R. Raburn grounded into fielder's choice, V. Martinez to third, J. Peralta out at second
- A. Avila walked, R. Raburn to second
- B. Inge singled to shallow left, V. Martinez scored, R. Raburn to third, A. Avila to second
- J. Affeldt relieved B. Wilson
- A. Dirks safe at first on second baseman E. Burriss' fielding error, R. Raburn scored, A. Avila to third, B. Inge to second
- B. Boesch lined into double play, B. Inge out at third

Luckily the Giants got Boesch to line into a game ending bases loaded double play but after Wilson was yanked from the game he threw a temper tantrum in the dugout.

Was the best part of this tantrum that "Eye of the Tiger" was playing on the ball park speaker system during the whole thing? Rhetorical! I imagine the conversation between Brian Wilson and the bat/Gatorade cooler/beard went something like this:

Hey partner c'mon you gotta relax! Don't force it, you're gonna injury something.

Who.does.Brian.Wilson's beard.work.for? Who.does.Brian.Wilson's beard.work.for?

That's right buddy, you show that Gatorade cooler who's boss! Hey, just grab a hold of the bat, bite your lip and give it hell. C'mon, we're gonna get through this. You tell that Gatorade cooler who's boss!

After the game Aubrey Huff started crying in the handshake line. Someone should remind him that it's July 1st and that this was game #83 of 162 for the Giants. When I find the video I'll post it but for now you'll just have to laugh at this picture of it.

Atlanta Braves Pitching Coach's Actions Lead To Best News Conference Of All-Time

Let me first give you some back-story and set the scene. On Saturday the Atlanta Braves played the San Francisco Giants at AT&T Park. During batting practice, Atlanta pitching coach Roger McDowell started making fun of 3 guys in the stands. No doubt those 3 guys were probably Patrick Schwasted and started heckling McDowell first. That's when things got fun:

Justin Quinn, 33, of Fresno said he was in the stands at AT&T Park in San Francisco during pregame batting practice with his wife and 9-year-old twin daughters when he noticed McDowell hectoring three men and asking them, "Are you guys a homo couple or a threesome?"

Quinn said McDowell proceeded to make crude sexual gestures with his hips and a bat.

Quinn, who was down in front of the field, then shouted, "Hey, there are kids out here," he said during a news conference at the Los Angeles office of noted attorney Gloria Allred.

Quinn alleged that the coach replied that kids don't belong at a baseball park, picked up a bat, walked up to Quinn and asked him, "How much are your teeth worth?"

Alright, that's the back-story. Now on to the best/most awkward news conference of all-time. Of.All.Time! Justin Quinn decided to hire high profile attorney Gloria Allred and they had this news conference at her office in Los Angeles:

I've watched this video about 10 times already and it gets funnier each time. Isn't it worse to bring your 9-year-old daughters to this news conference and hear an old lady saying exactly what the Braves coach said and then demoing sex with a baseball bat and their father? They are 9-year-old girls, it's a lock they were complaining about who got to sit in what seat and didn't hear all the vulgar shit that Roger McDowell said but now they certainly know. Plus their teenage years are already ruined because you know this video will surface again.

Keenan Cahill Covers Taio Cruz's "Dynamite" with Brian Wilson & Cody Ross

If you pay any attention to the intertubes then you know who Keenan Cahill is. He's that 16 year old kid that looks like he's 8 because he has dwarf syndrome and lip syncs to popular songs. His most famous lip sync cover was of Katy Perry's "Teenage Dream" which has over 37 million views. Well on Tuesday he posted a new video and it might be, nay, IS the best one yet. It is a cover of Taio Cruz's "Dynamite" and features San Francisco Giant players Brian Wilson and Cody Ross. I wish whoever thought of the idea to bring Keenan Cahill together with Brian Wilson and Cody Ross had thought of it sooner because it's pure gold.

0:29 = pure awesome. Brian Wilson is the coolest person in baseball and that's not even up for debate. If you wanted to debate it I'd bring up his World Series ring, his ridiculously awesome beard, the fact that he's a certified ninja, or pretty much anything else he says because it's all perfect. On May 25th the Giants are holding a promotion featuring Brian Wilson, Cody Ross and Keenan Cahill and "proceeds from ticket sales will help benefit causes dear to both Cody & Keenan".
