A Different Inception Opinion

Yoooo Chris...I'm really happy for you and I'maa let you finish but Frank Darabont has one of the best movies of all-time...One of the best movies of ALL-TIME!

I also went to see The Matrix Inception but I came out with a slightly different opinion than Blog Dylan, who thought it should be compared with Shawshank Redemption and The Godfather. The movie was good, occasionally great, but was not even close to being one of the best movies of all-time. If you think Inception is even on the same level as those movies you are delusional. I realize it is probably a case of early hype where the movie starts off really high on the IMDB chart and then slowly descends to its rightful place but it's still ridiculous. It was a 150 minute movie that could have easily been 120 minutes and there was so much going on that the actors (namely Leonardo DiCaprio) weren't given a chance to shine.

The best part of the movie was after the Charlie St. Cloud preview. It was quiet for about 5 seconds before the ENTIRE theater erupted in laughter. I mean can you really take a preview seriously where Zac Effron says "Every evening I play catch with my dead brother", "Today is the day we learn how to throw a slider" or the final nail in the coffin at the end of the preview when he says "We'll always be brothers" in a voice-over. It's a lock I'll end up seeing the movie but it was a hilarious moment in the theater nonetheless. All in all, should you go see this movie? Yes. Was it good? Yes. Was it the best movie off all-time? Hell to the no.

Inception Tops Weekend Box Office

Inception, or as I like to call it: the greatest fucking movie of all time, topped the box office this weekend with over 60 million dollars. Who cares what finished 2nd and who gives a fuck what finished 3rd. Inception currently has an 85% on Rotten Tomatoes (official sponsor) and 9.1 on IMDB. The 9.1 rating also means it is the 3rd highest rated movie on IMDB (behind Shawshank and the Godfather). Basically all of this post is telling you to get off your lazy ass and go see this movie. It is incredible. Amazing. Orgasmic. And if you couldn't tell I really enjoyed it.

Friday New Movie Releases - July 16 (Inception and Standing Ovation)

There are 2 movies coming out tomorrow (Friday, July 16) - Inception and Standing Ovation. Let me re-write that. There is 1 movie coming out tomorrow. Inception. Everyone and their mom is talking about Inception being the greatest thing since internet porn so I will have to see it in the near future. Inception stars Leonardo DiCaprio, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Ellen Page, Marion Cotillard and is directed by the one and only Christopher Nolan. It has an 84% on Rotten Tomatoes (official sponsor) right now which is really really good (it was even at 96% yesterday). Our good friend at Drunk Drivers Against Mothers saw the movie and gave his initial thoughts...
"If Inception was a woman, it would be a beautiful, well-read woman, and I would try to seduce her. And then, after failing miserably to bed her, I would go home and masturbate to her Facebook pictures. Also, this woman looks like Joseph-Gordon Levitt."
In short - go see this movie now.

Standing Ovation is a musical that looks worse than Gabourey Sidibe in a bikini. You clicked that link you chubby chasing bastard...didn't you. If the synopsis for this movie doesn't lead you far far away you don't deserve to see Inception or any other movie for that matter...
"Standing Ovation delivers an optimistic tale of perseverance and passion that inspires the American dream in all of us. Five junior high school friends form a singing group called "The 5 Ovations" to compete in a national music video contest for a cash prize of one million dollars."
In other news - there were 5 people at the Standing Ovation premiere this week: Ricky Martin, Clay Aiken, Adam Lambert, Lance Bass and T.R. Knight. They were all bribed to attend with promises of Justin Bieber shirtless pics.

Inception Premiers in LA and Ellen Page Looks Kinda Hot

Inception premiered in Los Angeles last night and the stars were out. Leo (man crush) was looking great and hopefully will deliver a great performance in this summer blockbuster. Even Ellen Page (yes, Juno) was looking pretty sexy. I'd bang her, but then again I'd bang just about anything. Blogstradomus and I will be attending a midnight showing tomorrow and we will most certainly let you know our thoughts. So far Rotten Tomatoes (official sponsor) has given it a 96%.

Here's the link for the premiere pics, check it out:
